'Social Steps' Dance Classes for Over 60's set to put a spring in your step!
'Social Steps' Dance Classes for Over-60s starting in Galway City
Healthy Galway City and Galway City Partnership are excited to announce 'Social Steps' Dance classes for over 60's starting in September 2024. Put a spring in your step and have some fun this autumn.
Come along and enjoy a fun and friendly dance class, suitable for all abilities and skills levels.
Dance Teacher Niall Doorhy will lead classes in popular social dances including jiving, waltzing, line dancing and much more. Workshops are suitable for beginners and more experienced dancers. Dance is proven to be an enjoyable and effective way to stay fit for people of all ages; benefits include improved heart and lung functioning, increased muscular strength, improved coordination, flexibility, and overall fitness. Dance is also associated with enhanced mental functioning, improved wellbeing and greater self-confidence and esteem.
Most importantly, dancing is a great way to have fun and make new friends.
Tea, coffees and delicious refreshments will be provided.
